Gratitude Day-Tak til Støtten Danmark Fra Filippinerne

Dear kababayans in Denmark,

In the aftermath of the typhoon HAIYAN/YOLANDA, the strongest ever in recent world history which has rendered hundreds of thousands of our countrymen homeless, with over 5000 casualties even as rescue operations continue, it is affirming and heartwarming to see. the whole world reacting positively!   We have felt the empathy, the solidarity and sympathy of the Danish people. We saw how Denmark excelled as one of the first nations in the globe to respond with a monetary assistance of DKK 42  Million which is equivalent to roughly around  Php_336 Million  plus NGO’s that are based in Denmark are leading the relief effort and still doing their best to fundraise for the  the typhoon victims.

Then, on a cold December day 4 weeks ago at Rådhuspladsen/Copenhagen City Hall Square, we have seen strong Danish goodwill towards the Philippines manifest itself into significant donations of money and goods!   As well all the other Fundrasing from several Filipino Organizations, Churches as well as group of 2nd generation Filipinos and individuals who gave their time to support the our poor kababayan who were devastated by the typhoon Haiyan/Yoland. You can eventually inform us your fundariaising activities so we can include it to the ENFID register as well as the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. Gratitude Day is an ENFID initiative and now  Filipinos all over the world followed simultenous event will have a greater impact to the world to show our appreciation to our respective host country. This event is endorsed by Secretary Imelda Nicolas of Commission on Filipino Oversear (CFO).
